Public Works Director Kenny Cole told the board that the <br />twenty -nine (29) residents that live in Creekwood Subdivision (off Steele Bridge Road) <br />have requested that the county supply them with water. Mr. Cole further stated that the <br />Creekwood Homeowners Association currently owns and operates approximately 12,000 <br />LF of 6" water mains and two ground water wells, and all 29 residents have paid their <br />$75.00 tap deposits for Phase II. After some discussion, Commissioner Reives moved to <br />accept the following recommendations of the Public Works Director concerning the <br />Creekwood Subdivision: <br />• All property owners must abide by the Districts rules and regulations. <br />• All lines, appurtenances and easements must be conveyed to the Lee County <br />Water & Sewer District. <br />• The Association must post a bond or letter of credit in the amount of <br />5154,800 for a period of two years. This money will be used to make any <br />repairs or line replacements during this period. <br />• All wells will be closed according to Public Water supply regulations by the <br />Creekwood Association <br />Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Adams, Hincks, Lemmond, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, and Sauls <br />Nay: None <br />The Chainnan ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The board considered voluntary water restrictions. Public Works Director Kenny <br />Cole told the board that due to severe water shortages in surrounding counties he is <br />recommending that Lee County Water District customers be asked to voluntarily conserve <br />water restrictions. After some discussion, Commissioner Reives moved to approve Mr. <br />Cole's recommendation for Lee County Water District customers to voluntarily conserve <br />water. Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Adams, Hincks, Lemmond, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, and Sauls <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />There being no further business to come before the governing body of the Lee <br />County Water and Sewer District No. 1, Commissioner Adams moved to adjourn the Water <br />and Sewer District No. 1 meeting. Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Adams, Hincks, Lemmond, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, and Sauls <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously, and the meeting <br />adjourned in keeping with the motion. <br />2 <br />
