General Services Director <br />Russel Spivey stated that the infrastructure has been falling apart for some time. Although <br />the funds for this project were provided in last fiscal year's budget, this project was delayed <br />due to the need complete other repairs prior to moving forward. Commissioner Oldham <br />recommended providing a street address on bids in the future so it is apparent where the <br />firm is based. Commissioner Reives moved to approve the award of the bid for the OT <br />Sloan Park Storm Drainage Rehabilitation Project to Sandhills Contractors, Inc. Upon a <br />vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Dalrymple, Dodson, Knecht, Oldham, Reives, Sharpe, Sloan <br />Nay: None <br />The Chair ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Consideration of Old Bowling Alley and Courthouse Evaluation Firm Selection <br />Management Analyst Michael Silverman presented the Board with a <br />recommendation of an architecture firm for the Old Bowling Alley and Courthouse <br />Evaluation Project. A request for qualifications was advertised in July resulting in <br />submissions from nine architecture firms for evaluation of the old bowling alley and <br />courthouse. A committee comprised of Assistant County Manager/Finance Director Lisa <br />Minter and General Services Director Russel Spivey evaluated the submissions and <br />determined Moseley Architects to be the most qualified firm for the project. Commissioner <br />Knecht moved to approve the selection of Moseley Architects and to authorize the County <br />Manager to enter into contract negotiations to present to the Board at a later date. Upon a <br />vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Dalrymple, Dodson, Knecht, Oldham, Reives, Sharpe, Sloan <br />Nay: None <br />The Chair ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Request for Approval of Appointments to the Juvenile Crime Prevention Council <br />Management Analyst Michael Silverman, Lee County Designee on the Juvenile <br />Crime Prevention Council, stated that the Juvenile Crime Prevention Council voted <br />unanimously at their August 14, 2017 meeting to recommend the appointments of <br />Margaret A. Johnson and TiMarcus Deshon Robinson. Commissioner Reives moved to <br />approve the appointments of Margaret A. Johnson and TiMarcus Deshon Robinson to the <br />Juvenile Crime Prevention Council.
