Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Dalrymple, Dodson, Knecht, Oldham, Reives, Sharpe, Sloan <br />Nay: None <br />The Chair ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />With no other changes requested, Commissioner Reives moved to approve the <br />Consent Agenda as amended which consisted of the following items: <br />- Minutes form the August 21, 2017 Regular Meeting <br />- Tax Release and Refund Report for August 2017 <br />- FY 17/18 Senior Health Insurance Information Grant funding for Senior Services <br />- Additional Federal Revenue for WIC — Breast Feeding Peer Counselor <br />- Vehicle purchase request for the Health Department <br />- Additional Federal Revenue for WIC- Client Services <br />- Vehicle purchase request for the Lee County Jail <br />- Modification to the lease agreement with Progressive Development Co., LLC for <br />space at the Buggy Factory <br />- Association of Food and Drug Officials Year 5 Retail Program Standards Grant. <br />- Contract for Transportation Services between COLTS and Lee County Senior <br />Services <br />- Request for County's Participation in a Petition to Abandon Clyde Rhyne Drive to <br />Grant Maintenance and Ownership to the City of Sanford. <br />Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Dalrymple, Dodson, Knecht, Oldham, Reives, Sharpe, Sloan <br />Nay: None <br />The Chair ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />III. PUBLIC HEARINGS <br />A. A joint public hearing with the Lee County Planning Board that advertised for <br />this date and time was held regarding a rezoning request for 2925 Airport Road. <br />Amy McNeill, Zoning Administrator with the Sanford/Lee County Planning and <br />Development Office, presented the rezoning request on behalf of applicants <br />Lloyd and Linda Cushman to rezone the property located at 2925 Airport Road <br />from the current zoning of Residential Agricultural (RA) to Light Industrial (LI). <br />After an explanation of the difference between Light Industrial and Heavy <br />Industrial uses as they relate to the property involved, Chair Dalrymple opened <br />the public hearing. <br />The following spoke in favor of the rezoning request: <br />- Lloyd Cushman, 4 Trace Way, Sanford, NC <br />Page 218 <br />
