VI. OLD BUSINESS <br />Budget Ordinance for FY 2017/18 <br />The Board considered the approved of the budget ordinance for FY 2017-2018. <br />County Manager John Crumpton stated that the recommended budget was presented to <br />the Board at the Budget Workshop held on May 22, 2017. A public hearing on the budget <br />was held at the Board's regular meeting on June 5, 2017. The 2017-2018 Budget <br />Ordinance is reflective of the budget that was presented with two changes. In the Sheriff's <br />department, $30,320.00 was moved from temporary salaries to regular salaries. The total <br />for the department did not change. The Health Department received notification of <br />additional WIC funding for $9,838.00 for FY 17-18. Revenues and expenditures for the <br />Health Department have been adjusted for this additional revenue. A special appropriation <br />to CCCC in the amount of $115,000 has been added for additional costs related to the <br />move of the PODS from the Wicker School site to the Telecommunications School. <br />Commissioner Sloan moved to approved the budget ordinance for fiscal year 2017-2018 <br />as presented with the changes that were presented by Mr. Crumpton, a copy of which is <br />attached to these minutes and by this reference made a part hereof. Upon a vote, the <br />results were as follows: <br />Aye: Dalrymple, Dodson, Knecht, Oldham, Reives, Sharpe, Sloan <br />Nay: None <br />The Chair ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />FY 2017/18 Fire District Budget Ordinance <br />County Manager John Crumpton stated that there had been no changes to the <br />recommended fire district budget since it was introduced by Mayor Andrews, Chair of the <br />Fire Advisory Board, at the Budget Workshop on May 22, 2017. A public hearing was held <br />on June 5, 2017. Commissioner Sloan moved to approve the Fired District Budget <br />Ordinance as presented, a copy of which is attached to these minutes and by this <br />reference made a part hereof. Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Dalrymple, Dodson, Knecht, Oldham, Reives, Sharpe, Sloan <br />Nay: None <br />The Chair ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Capital Improvements Program for FY 2017/18 <br />County Manager John Crumpton stated that on May 22, 2017, Management Intern <br />Michael Silverman presented the County Manager's recommended Capital Improvement <br />Plan for FY 2017/18- FY 2021/22. A public hearing was held on June 5, 2017. <br />Commissioner Sloan moved to approve the Capital Improvement Plan as presented, a <br />copy of the Resolution adopting the CIP along with a summary are attached to these <br />minutes and by this reference made a part hereof.
