A <br />The Chair ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Consideration of an Offer to Purchase Surplus Property Located at 913 Oddfellow Street, <br />PIN 9642-67-5123-00, Sanford, Lee County, NC <br />County Attorney Whitney Parrish provided that Lee County and the City of Sanford <br />acquired property located at 913 Oddfellow Street through a foreclosure sale in 2012. The <br />total amount of fees and taxes owed on the property is $10,877.93 and the taxable value is <br />$2,500.00. Doretta Kelly has paid the requisite deposit and advertising costs. The offer will <br />also have to be approved by the City Council before the property can be advertised for <br />sale. Commissioner Oldham moved to approve the resolution accepting the offer for sale <br />of surplus property located at 913 Oddfellow Street, a copy of which is attached to these <br />minutes and by this reference made a part hereof. Upon a vote, the results were as <br />follows: <br />Aye: Dalrymple, Dodson, Knecht, Oldham, Reives, Sharpe, Sloan <br />Nay: None <br />The Chair ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Information Reaardina Consideration of an Amendment to the Sanford Zonina Map at 413 <br />Carbonton Rd, Sanford, Lee County, NC <br />County Manager John Crumpton provided the Board with information regarding a <br />rezoning application from Sterling Developers, LLC to rezone two tracts of land totaling <br />approximately 12.02 acres, addressed as 413 Carbonton Road and adjoining a vacant <br />tract to the southeast, from the current zoning of Residential Single -Family (R-20) to the <br />Woodford Pines Conditional Zoning District. Lee County received notice of the rezoning <br />application and public hearing as an owner of an adjacent property. No action was taken. <br />At this time, Chair Dalrymple called a 5 minutes recess. <br />Board Appointments <br />Clerk to the Board Jennifer Gamble provided four applications for the Board's <br />consideration for appointments to the Rest Home -Nursing Home Advisory Board, Jury <br />Commission, Sanford Board of Adjustments, and the Sanford Planning Board. <br />Commissioner Reives requested monthly updates on board vacancies along with notice of <br />applications upon receipt. After a discussion, the Commissioners concurred with this <br />request. Based on this decision, the Commissioners asked for further time to consider <br />board appointments on the Agenda, however due to the critical need to proceed with some <br />of the appointments for procedural reasons, Commissioner Reives moved to approve <br />items N -P under New Business, which consisted of an application form Dana Guevara to <br />the Rest Home Nursing Home Advisory Board, a reappointment application from Leverne <br />Kinney to the Jury Commission, and a reappointment application from Ronald Willett to the <br />Sanford Board of Adjustments.
