No one spoke in favor of the proposed recommendation to divide the Lee County Planning Board and the Lee County Board of Adjustments. The following people spoke in opposition of the recommendation: - Gerald Merritt, 2009 Traceway, Sanford, NC - Vince Roy, 337 Lakeview Drive, Sanford, NC - Bill Towson, 295 Fairway Lane, Sanford, NC - Sharwynne W. Blatterman, 4 The Pointe, Sanford, NC Chair Darlymple closed the public hearing. At this time, Commissioner Reives stated that he had made an omission on the Consent Agenda. Commissioner Reives requested that items B-E on the Consent Agenda be removed from Consent and discussed under New Business as items O -R. Based on this request, Commissioner Reives moved to reconsider the Consent Agenda. Upon a vote, the results were as follows: Aye: Dalrymple, Dodson, Knecht, Oldham, Reives, Sharpe, Sloan Nay: None The Chair ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. Commissioner Reives then moved to amend the Agenda to remove items B-E from the Consent Agenda and place them under New Business. Upon a vote, the results were as follows: Aye: Dalrymple, Dodson, Knecht, Oldham, Reives, Sharpe, Sloan Nay: None The Chair ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. IV. INTRODUCTION OF NEW DEPARTMENT HEAD County Manager John Crumpton introduced Angelina Noel as the new Director of the Lee County Department of Social Services. V. PUBLIC COMMENTS Pursuant to General Statute § 152A-52.1, Chair Dalrymple opened the floor for Public Comments. The following person signed up to speak and was permitted 3 minutes for comments: - Dr. Ricky Frazier, 124 S. Plank Rd, Sanford, NC At this time, Chair Dalrymple proceeded to read aloud the Proclamation declaring July as Parks and Recreation Month, a copy of which is attached to these minutes and by this reference made a part hereof.
