ono <br />e18 ee 18~ <br />Gx <br />The Board considered a resolution to authorize the Tax Administrator to direct <br />executions against personal property for taxes to the Sheriff, in accordance with NC <br />General Statute 105-367. Commissioner Garner moved to approve the following <br />resolution: <br />WHEREAS, NC General Statute 105-367 sets out the procedure for the levy upon <br />tangible personal property for tax collection purposes; and <br />WHEREAS, in addition to the powers granted to the Tax Administrator, it <br />provides that the Board of Commissioners may authorize the Tax Administrator to direct <br />an execution against personal properly for taxes to the Sheriff; and <br />WHEREAS, the Tax Administrator has requested the Board of Commissioners to <br />authorize him to follow such procedure; NOW, THEREFORE <br />BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners of Lee County that the Tax <br />Administrator of Lee County is hereby authorized to direct executions against personal <br />property for taxes to the Sheriff in accordance with the provisions of NC General Statute <br />105-367 and this resolution. Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Adams, Garner, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, and Sauls <br />Nay: None <br />Absent: Hineks <br />The Vice-Chaimuan ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered delinquent 1989 taxes. Tax Administrator Roger Kelley <br />asked the Board to allow him to write off delinquent 1989 taxes per NC General Statute <br />105-373(g). Commissioner Garner moved to write off delinquent 1989 taxes as <br />requested. Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Adams, Garner, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, and Sauls <br />Nay: None <br />Absent: Hincks <br />The Vice-Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered a purchase requisition for Phase 4 to produce orthophotos <br />for the Land Records Department. Tax Administrator Roger Kelley told the Board that <br />American Geographic Data completes one quarter of the county each year by flying over <br />the county and producing orthophotos. If approved, this would be the final phase of the <br />project and would cost $23,655.00. Commissioner Garner moved to approve the <br />purchase requisition in the amount of $23,655.00 to American Geographic Data. Upon a <br />vote, the results were as follows: <br />4 <br />
