6OOX 18 Y GE 208 <br />PRI- IV 41VIATl®1V <br />WHEREAS: <br />Lee County's 4-11 nnembeus and leaders are observing <br />National 4-H Week, October 1-7, 2000, and <br />WHEREAS: 4-11 is an educational program of Cooperative <br />Extension and North Carolina State University, and <br />is implemented on the county level by the 4-11 Staff <br />along with the help of local volunteer 4-H leaders; <br />and <br />WHEREAS: The propose of 4-H Club work is to give equal <br />training to young people and to help prepare them to <br />be better citizens and leaders who will fit into the <br />society where their life's work may take them; and <br />«'HERE, AS: 4-11 members working with educational learn-by- <br />doing projects put into practice new skills and science <br />as they strive "To Make The Best Better", the motto <br />of 4-H work; and <br />WHEREAS: The citizenship and leadership training which 4-11 <br />members receive in this program is a valuable asset <br />to our democratic way of life; now <br />THEREFORE: Tile, the Board of County Commissioners of Lee <br />County do hereby proclaim October 1-7, 2000 as <br />"NATIONAL 4-11 WEEK" in Lee County, and urge <br />all of our people to encourage and support the work <br />of 4-H Clubs and Activities. <br />Chairman, Lee County <br />Board of Commissioners <br />03 <br />Date . <br />NORTH CAMNA, tEE coumv <br />"ed Pr IRgistration on the (k <br />recorded in Book <br />
