012 <br />BOOK 18 PmF 225 <br />8. Set-up of tables and chairs for an event is the responsibility of the lessee or <br />organization using the auditorium and must be completed during business hours. It <br />is also the responsibility of the lessee or organization to return all items in the room to <br />their original positions following completion of the event and to leave the auditorium <br />orderly and clean. <br />9. Cooperative Extension must have a staff person in the McSwain Center at all times <br />while the auditorium is being used. <br />10. North Carolina Cooperative Extension staff reserves the right to cancel activities <br />planned by outside groups if auditorium space is needed for educational programming <br />for clientele. A thirty day notice will be provided to the lessee. <br />11. The McSwain Center is handicapped accessible. Disabled persons who can function <br />independently are welcomed. Persons with mobility problems that require assistance, <br />persons who are incontinent or persons with cognitive impairments must be <br />accompanied by a caregiver. <br />D. Charges and Fee Schedule <br />Payment in full, to North Carolina Cooperative Extension, is required at least one full <br />week prior to the event; otherwise, the reservation will be automatically canceled. <br />PAYMENT MUST BE IN CASH OR CASHIERS CHECK, NO PERSONAL CHECKS <br />ACCEPTED. <br />Rental rates and other charges for the use of the McSwain Center Auditorium are specified <br />below: <br />Auditorium $400 <br />Catering kitchen is available for catering only - no cooking is allowed. <br />Lessee must furnish their own serving utensils. <br />Damage Deposit $250 for all rentals <br />(Refundable following inspection by McSwain Center staff) <br />The lessee is liable for all damages that are in excess of the $250 security deposit. <br />Certain events may require additional security personnel. The lessee will be responsible for <br />the employment of an off-duty law enforcement officer. The Cooperative Extension staff will <br />assist in the arrangement for an off-duty law enforcement officer at the time the rental is <br />approved by the Lee County Extension Advisory Council. <br />
