Ballots were passed out and tabulated with the following votes <br />recorded: <br />COMMISSIONER VOTED FOR <br />Adams <br />Matthews <br />Hincks <br />Matthews <br />Lemmond <br />Matthews <br />Matthews <br />Matthews <br />Paschal <br />Matthews <br />Reives <br />Matthews <br />Sauls <br />Matthews <br />Attorney Hoyle announced that Commissioner Bert Matthews had received a <br />unanimous vote and therefore had been selected Vice Chairperson for the coming year. <br />The Board considered a resolution fixing time, date, and place of regular <br />meetings. Commissioner Adams moved to approve the following resolution: <br />BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners for the County of Lee as <br />follows: <br />SECTION 1: The Board of Commissioners shall hold a regular meeting on the <br />first and third Monday of each month. If the regular meeting day is a holiday on which <br />County offices are closed, the meeting shall be held on the next business day or such <br />succeeding day as may be specified in the motion adjourning the immediate preceding <br />regular meeting. <br />SECTION 2: Regular meetings shall be held in the Commissioners' Room, <br />First Floor, Lee County Government Center, 106 Hillcrest Drive, Sanford, North <br />Carolina. <br />SECTION 3: The regular meeting on the first Monday of each month will <br />begin at 8:00 am. The regular meeting on the third Monday of each month will begin at <br />3:00 p.m. <br />SECTION 4: The County Manager is directed to cause a copy of this <br />resolution to be posted on the courthouse butletin board and a summary of it to be <br />published at least ten (10) days before the first meeting to which the resolution is to <br />apply. <br />Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Adams, 1-tincks, Lemmond, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, and Sauls <br />Nay: None <br />2 <br />
