BGGX IS P.-GE 461 <br />MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br />OF THE <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />FOR THE <br />COUNTY OF LEE, STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA <br />~k x***:k:r:k:e:k* * **+****:k:k *:k v: *A: *~k****I:******************************* <br />DECEMBER 4, ?000 <br />The regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners for the County of Lee, <br />State of North Carolina, convened at 9:00 a.m. in the Commissioners' Room, 106 <br />Hillcrest Drive, Sanford, North Carolina. Commissioners present were W. Chad <br />Adams, Herbert A. Hincks, Jerry M. Lemmond, Bertha L. Matthews, Nathan E. <br />Paschal, Robert T. Reives, and John I. Sauls. <br />Rev. Tony Hunt, Commissioner from Hoke County delivered the invocation and <br />led the pledge of allegiance. <br />Clerk of Court Ann Blakley administered the oath of office to Commissioners <br />Bertha L. Matthews, Nathan E. Paschal, and Jerry M. Lemmond. <br />Chairman Hincks presided and the following business was transacted. <br />Chairman Hincks recognized County Attorney K. R. Hoyle, who conducted the <br />election of a chairman for a one-year term. Ballots were passed out and tabulated with <br />the following votes recorded: <br />COMMISSTONER VOTED FOR <br />Adams <br />Hincks <br />Hincks <br />I-fincks <br />Lemmond <br />Matthews <br />Matthews <br />Matthews <br />Paschal <br />Hincks <br />Reives <br />Matthews <br />Sauls <br />Hincks <br />Attorney Hoyle announced that Commissioner Herb Hincks had received four votes <br />and Commissioner Bert Matthews had received three votes, therefore Commissioner <br />Herbert A. Hincks had been elected Chairman for the coming year. <br />
