Hal Scott from The Scott Group discussed with the Board the methodology used in the preparation of the study and answered questions from the Board. He told the Board that the largest increases went to law enforcement personnel. After some discussion, Commissioner Sauls moved to approve the new Lee County Compensation Plan, excluding unclassified positions, effective January 1, 2001, a copy of which is attached to these minutes and by this reference made a part hereof. Commissioner Sauls moved that the unclassified positions of the County Manager, County Attorney, Sheriff, and Register of Deeds be adjusted per the recommendations of Mr. Scott. The Board considered an appointment to the Lee County Juvenile Crime Prevention Council. Commissioner Reives moved to accept the recommendation from Adult and Youth Services Director Randell Wodruff to appoint Judge Jim Love, Jr. to this Council.
