Oil <br />BOON 1$ P-ACE 275 <br />The Chainnan ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered a voting delegate for the Legislative Goals Conference to <br />be held January 11-12, 2001 in Southern Pines. Commissioner Matthews moved that <br />Chairman Hincks be the voting delegate for Lee County. Upon a vote, the results were as <br />follows: <br />Aye: Adams, Hincks, Lemmond, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, and Sauls <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Commissioner Matthews moved that the Board ask the North Carolina <br />Department of Transportation to conduct traffic studies for the intersections of Hwy 421 <br />North and McNeill Road, and Lee Avenue and Wilson Road. Adams, 1-Iincks, Lemmond, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, and Sauls <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board discussed the Capital Improvements Plan (CIP) for 2001/2002- <br />2005/2006. County Manager William Cowan told the Board that proposed CIP projects <br />total $91,181,300. He discussed with the Board departmental requests and answered <br />questions from the Board. No action was taken on the matter. <br />The Board considered an agreement with ROK Technologies, Inc. for internet- <br />based geographic information system (GIS) applications for GIS and tax data. Tax <br />Administrator Roger Kelley asked that the Board enter into an agreement with ROK <br />Technologies, Inc. to provide Lee County with the tools to fulfill their public access <br />requirements, by giving users multiple ways to view and query GIS data. The cost for <br />these services would be $14,025 and $250.00 per month for ROK Technologies to host <br />the site. After some discussion, Commissioner Sauls moved for the County Manager to <br />enter into an agreement with ROK Technologies, Inc.
