bon IS nc~ 2 <br />MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br />OF THE <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />FOR THE <br />COUNTY OF LEE, STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA <br />TUESDAY, JANUARY 16, 2001 <br />The regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners for the County of Lee, State <br />of North Carolina, convened at 7:00 p.m. in Courtroom #4 at the old Lee County <br />Courthouse, 1400 S. Homer Blvd., Sanford, North Carolina. Commissioners present <br />J were W. Chad Adams, Herbert A. Hincks, Jerry M. Lenurnond, Bertha L. Matthews, <br />Nathan E. Paschal, and John I. Sauls. Commissioner Robert T. Reives was not present. <br />Commissioner Chad Adams delivered the invocation. <br />John Daniel led the pledge of allegiance. <br />The Board considered additional agenda items. Commissioner Paschal moved to <br />approve the agenda as printed. Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Adams, Hincks, Lemmond, Matthews, Paschal, and Sauls <br />Nay: None <br />Absent: Reives <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Commissioner Lemmond moved to approve the consent agenda, which consisted <br />of the following items: <br />• Minutes of the January 2, 2001 regular meeting <br />• Tax Releases and Refunds for December 2000 (per attached copy) <br />• Permission for the Sheriff's Department to apply to the Governor's Crime <br />Commission for a grant in the amount of $31,211 <br />Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Adams, Hincks, Lemmond, Matthews, Paschal, and Sauls <br />Nay: None <br />Absent: Reives <br />l! ~ <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />
