Chairman Hincks discussed with the Board a proposed Board Retreat that will be held on March 15 and 16, 2001 at the Holiday Inn in Southern Pines. Various items that will be on the agenda were briefly discussed. No action was taken on the matter. Commissioner Paschal discussed with the Board the renaming of the old Annory in memory of Bobby E. Hales. He also asked that cost estimates be obtained from Public Works for needed repairs to the roof and bathroom facilities. After some discussion, Commissioner Paschal moved that the old Annory be named the Bobby E. Hales Recreation Center. Upon a vote, the results were as follows: Aye: Adams, Hincks, Lemmond, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, and Sauls Nay: None The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. The Board considered reappointments and new appointments to the Juvenile Crime Prevention Council. Youth and Adult Services Director Randell Woodruff asked that the following individuals be reappointed to this Council: Robert Logan Kevin Kirkman Rhonda Gordon Randell Woodruff Debbie Scott Lydia Baldwin Roger.ludd Richard Powers Stuart Smith Rick Dawkins Mr. Woodruff also asked that the following new appointments be included to the Council: Harold Layton Lin Thomas Wendy O'Neil Commissioner Matthews moved to approve the appointments and reappointments of the above individuals to the Lee County Juvenile Crime Prevention Council.
