C;,CX ~8 p~c~ 30 <br />Commissioner Adams moved to lease the two vacant parcels of land between the Arts <br />Center and Horner Blvd. to the Lee County Arts and Community Center, Inc. for a term <br />of 50 years, and for County Attorney K. R. Hoyle to draft a lease allowing use of the <br />property for historic and preservation purposes. Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Adams, Hincks, Lemmond, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, and Sauls <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />County Attorney K. R. Hoyle brought to the Board's attention that the property <br />between the Arts Center and Homer Blvd. is divided into two separate parcels with one <br />section zoned residential and the other zoned office and institutional. Commissioner <br />Adams moved that the two parcels of land between the Arts Center and Horner Blvd. be <br />rezoned so it will be more compatible with the land use. Upon a vote, the results were as <br />follows: <br />Aye: Adams, Hincks, Lemmond, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, and Sauls <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered a request from Tax Administrator Roger Kelley to <br />advertise tax liens for tax year 2000. Mr. Kelley told the Board that there are currently <br />3,970 unpaid bills totaling $1,974,345.85. After some discussion, Commissioner Paschal <br />moved for Mr. Kelley to advertise the tax liens in The Sanford Herald. Upon a vote, the <br />results were as follows: <br />Aye: Adams, Hincks, Lemmmond, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, and Sauls <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered the purchase of hardware and software for the Land <br />Records Office. Tax Administrator Roger Kelley told the Board that in October 2000 lie <br />was given approval by the Board to hire a new Land Records employee. At that time <br />there were questions about the duplication and needs of hardware and software for Land <br />Records and the web site. The request was tabled until Commissioner Adams, County <br />Manager William Cowan, MIS Director Lesa Price and Mr. Kelley could meet and <br />discuss the concerns. Commissioner Adams moved to bring this tabled item back for <br />discussion. Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Adams, Hincks, Lemmond, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, and Sauls <br />Nay: None <br />04 <br />4 <br />
