0 0 <br />MIX JL <br />Lu ME <br />The Board considered rescheduling the March 2001 meetings due to the <br />Washington NACo Conference that will be held March 3-6, 2001. Commissioner <br />Matthews moved that the Board hold one meeting for the month on Monday, March 19, <br />2001, at 3:00 p.m., with public hearings at 7:00 p.m. Upon a vote, the results were as <br />follows: <br />Aye: Adams, Hincks, Lemmond, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, and Sauls <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered appointments to the Rest Home and Nursing Home <br />Advisory Board. Commissioner Reives moved to accept the nominations of Barbara <br />Perry and Hilda Stutler to this Board. Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Adams, Hincks, Lemmond, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, and Sauls <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Rick Hager, Chairman of the Board of Elections gave an update on the Elections <br />Office. Mr. Hager asked that the Board appoint a Commissioner as an ex-officio member <br />of the Board of Elections. Chairman Hincks appointed Commissioner Matthews to serve <br />on this Board. <br />Commissioner Reives left the meeting during Mr. Hager's presentation. <br />Chairman Hincks recessed the meeting until 7:00 p.m. <br />Chairman Hincks called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. in courtroom #4 at the <br />old Lee County Courthouse to conduct joint public hearings with the Planning Board as <br />advertised for this date and time. Commissioners present were W. Chad Adams, Herbert <br />A. Hincks, Jerry M. Lemmond, Bertha L. Matthews, and Nathan E. Paschal. <br />Commissioners Robert T. Reives and John 1. Sauls were absent. <br />911 Coordinator Don Kovasckitz presented a petition to the Board to name an un- <br />named private road off Colon Road. Mr. Kovasckitz told the Board that there were seven <br />property owners on this private road who were requesting the road be named Shallow <br />Creek Lane. <br />Planner Althea Thompson told the Board that Van Groce, Agent for property <br />owner Lee Paving Company, Inc. requested to rezone from Residential-Mixed District to <br />Residential Agricultural District, approximately 59.37 acres of land located east of <br />Nicholson Road. <br />04 <br />4 <br />
