Hoyle asked that the Board consider an incentive <br />agreement between the County of Lee and the Lee County Economic Development <br />Corporation. Commissioner Adams moved that the agenda be approved with the above <br />addition. Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Adams, Hincks, Lemmond, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, and Sauls <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Commissioner Matthews moved to approve the consent agenda, which consisted <br />of the following items: <br />• Minutes of the February 5, 2001 regular meeting <br />• Tax Releases and Refunds for January 2001 (copy attached) <br />• Governor's Crime Commission Grant application for the Lee-Harnett <br />Substance Abuse Outpatient Program <br />• Governor's Crime Commission Grant application for the Kids Journey Project <br />at Youth Services <br />• Acceptance of a $1,000 donation from Coty for the Hillcrest Youth Shelter <br />• Proclamation to declare February 18-24, 2001 as "Severe WeatherAtvareaess <br />Week" in Lee County (copy attached) <br />• Resolution for release of $551,976.00 from the Public School Building Capital <br />Fund for construction of Tramway Elementary School (copy attached) <br />• Modification Agreement between the County of Lee and the Northview Fire <br />Department for workers' comp coverage (copy attached) <br />Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Adams, Hincks, Lemmond, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, and Sauls <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board heard a report from Terry Roland of Tax Management concerning the <br />Land Use Audit Report. After some discussion between Mr. Roland and Board members, <br />Mr. Roland was asked to appear before the Board at a later time with a revised fee <br />schedule for his services. No action was taken on the matter. <br />The Board heard a report from Olen Criswell of Chatter Communications <br />concerning the county's intranet fiber optic project. Mr. Criswell told the Board that the <br />fiber is in route and will be completed within sixty days, which will allow Alltel to begin <br />their part of the project.
