Stat. § 166A -10 (2010) <br />E <br />§ 166A -10. Establishment of mutual aid agreements <br />(a) The Governor may establish mutual aid agreements with other states and with the federal government <br />provided that any special agreements so negotiated are within the Governor's authority. <br />(al) The Governor may establish mutual aid agreements with political subdivisions in the State with the <br />concurrence of the subdivision's governing body. <br />(b) The chief executive of each political subdivision, with the concurrence of the subdivision's governing body, may <br />develop mutual aid agreements for reciprocal emergency management aid and assistance. Such agreements <br />shall be consistent with the State emergency management program and plans. <br />(c) The chief executive officer of each political subdivision, with the concurrence of the governing body and subject <br />to the approval of the Governor, may enter into mutual aid agreements with local chief executive officers in other <br />states for reciprocal emergency management aid and assistance.
