G. 09 <br />nox 18 PACE 332 <br />plans on installing a water line on Zion Church Road, which is also part of the Phase II <br />county project. Mr. Cole stated that he is very close to reaching an agreement with the <br />City of Sanford, which may include the County taking over the water line on Lower <br />Moncure Road in exchange for the county-owned water lines in the Owl's Nest area. <br />County Manager William Cowan was instructed by the Board to write a letter to the city <br />notifying them of the county's intention of placing a line on Zion Church Road. <br />The Board considered an appointment to the Rest Homc & Nursing Home <br />Advisory Board. After some discussion, Commissioner Paschal moved to appoint <br />Juanita Fitzpatrick to the Rest Home & Nursing Home Advisory Board. Upon a vote, <br />the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Adams, Hincks, Lemmond, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, and Sauls <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered an appointment to the Lee County Juvenile Crime <br />Prevention Council. Commissioner Reives moved to appoint Claretta Johnson who will <br />be replacing Rhonda Gordon as the required representative from Mental Health to the <br />above Council. Upon it vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Adams, 1-lincks, Lemmond, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, and Sauls <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered an appointment to the Sanford-Lee County Airport <br />Authority. Chairman Hincks told the Board that Barbara Walton had resigned from this <br />Board and Economic Development Director Bob HeUIS had submitted an application for <br />the vacancy. Commissioner Reives questioned whether the vacancy had been advertised <br />and if other applications had been solicited. After much discussion, Commissioner <br />Sauls moved to approve the appointment of Bob 1-ieuts to the Sanford-Lee County <br />Airport Authority. Commissioner Matthews nominated Darrell Perry for the vacancy. <br />Upon a vote of Commissioner Matthews nomination, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Lemmond and Matthews <br />Nay: Adams, Hincks, Paschal, Reives, and Sauk <br />Upon a vote of Commissioner Sauls' nomination for Mr. Hems, the results were as <br />follows: <br />Aye: Adams, I-Iineks, Paschal, and Sauls <br />Nay: Lemmond, Matthews, and Reivcs <br />5 <br />
