Mr. Cole stated that he is very close to reaching an agreement with the City of Sanford, which may include the County taking over the water line on Lower Moncure Road in exchange for the county-owned water lines in the Owl's Nest area. County Manager William Cowan was instructed by the Board to write a letter to the city notifying them of the county's intention of placing a line on Zion Church Road. The Board considered an appointment to the Rest Homc & Nursing Home Advisory Board. After some discussion, Commissioner Paschal moved to appoint Juanita Fitzpatrick to the Rest Home & Nursing Home Advisory Board. Upon a vote, the results were as follows: Aye: Adams, Hincks, Lemmond, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, and Sauls Nay: None The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. The Board considered an appointment to the Lee County Juvenile Crime Prevention Council. Commissioner Reives moved to appoint Claretta Johnson who will be replacing Rhonda Gordon as the required representative from Mental Health to the above Council. Chairman Hincks told the Board that Barbara Walton had resigned from this Board and Economic Development Director Bob HeUIS had submitted an application for the vacancy. Commissioner Reives questioned whether the vacancy had been advertised and if other applications had been solicited. After much discussion, Commissioner Sauls moved to approve the appointment of Bob 1-ieuts to the Sanford-Lee County Airport Authority. Commissioner Matthews nominated Darrell Perry for the vacancy.
