V 0 ' ' 0 <br />BOOK 18 N GE 3228 G 0 J <br />MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br />OF THE <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />FOR THE <br />COUNTY OF LEE, STA'T'E OF NORTH CAROLINA <br />MARCH 19, 2001 <br />J The regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners for the County of Lee, State <br />of North Carolina, convened at 3:00 p.m. in the Commissioners' Room, Lee County <br />Goverment Center, 106 Hillcrest Drive, Sanford, North Carolina. Commissioners <br />present were W. Chad Adams, Herbert A. Hincks, Jerry M. Lcmmond, Bertha L. <br />Matthews, Nathan E. Paschal, Robert T. Reives, and John 1. SaLliS. <br />Chairman Hincks called the meeting to order. <br />Commissioner Matthews delivered the invocation. <br />Karen Jones led the pledge of allegiance. <br />The Board considered additional agenda items. <br />Commissioner Matthews asked that the Board discuss a zoning matter. <br />Commissioner Reives asked that an update be given concerning the eighteen water <br />customers on Lower Moncure Road. <br />Commissioner Matthews moved to approve the agenda with the above additions. <br />Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Adams, Hincks, Lemmnond, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, and SaLIIS <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Commissioner Adams moved to approve the consent agenda, which consisted of <br />the following items: <br />• Minutes of the February 19, 2001 special and regular meetings <br />• Minutes of the January 3, 2000 closed session <br />• Minutes of the October 2, 2000 closed session <br />• Acceptance of a S425 donation from Trinity Lutheran Church and a $50 <br />donation from the Carolina Trace Woman's Club to hlillerest Youth Shelter <br />
