0 <br />eooK -18 F A G F u7-2 <br />® 004 <br />Commissioner Reivesjoined the meeting during the closed session. <br />After completing business in closed session, Commissioner Adams moved to go <br />out of closed session. Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Adams, Hincks, Lemmond, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, and Sauls <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Commissioner Lemmond moved to recess the meeting until 7:00 p.m. Upon a <br />vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Adams, Hincks, Lemmond, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, and Sauls <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously and the meeting <br />recessed. <br />Upon returning at 7:00 p.m. in Courtroom 44 at the old Lee County Courthouse, <br />the meeting resumed. Commissioners present were Herbert A. Hincks, Jerry M. <br />Lemmond, Bertha L. Matthews, Nathan G. Paschal, Robert T. Reives, and John 1. <br />Sauls. Commissioner W. Chad Adams was absent. <br />Chairman Hincks called the meeting to order. <br />The first public hearing advertised for this date and time was to hear comments <br />from the general public concerning the Capital tmprovements Program (CIP) for FY <br />2001/2002-2005/2006. No one spoke in favor of or in opposition to the program. <br />Commissioner Reives moved to close the public hearing. Upon a vote, the results were <br />as follows: <br />Aye: Hincks, Lemmond, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, and Sauls <br />Nay: None <br />Absent: Adams <br />The Chainnan ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Planner Althea Thompson outlined the first of two joint hearings with the <br />Planning Board. She told the Board that Humberto Cabrera wished to rezone .98 acres <br />of land located at 4525 NC 87 Hwy. South, from Residential Restricted District to <br />Highway Commercial District. <br />Mr. Humberto Cabrera of 418 COUrtland Drive spoke in favor of the request. <br />No one spoke in opposition to the request. <br />4 <br />
