No action was taken on the matter. <br />The Board considered appointments to the Lee County Juvenile Crime <br />Prevention Council. Adult and Youth Services Director Randell Woodruff submitted <br />the names of Carol Jon Foxx and Courtney Yarborough as student representatives to <br />this Board. Commissioner Adams moved to accept the above nominations. Upon a <br />vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Adams, Hincks, Lemmond, Matthews, Paschal, and Sauls <br />Nay: None <br />Absent: Reives <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered an appointment for the unexpired term of Justin Darr on <br />the Sanford-Lee County Airport Authority. Commissioner Lemmond nominated <br />Emergency Management Director Warren Lee. Chairman Flineks nominated Bobby <br />Powell. Commissioner Adams moved to close the nominations. Upon a vote, the <br />results were as follows: <br />Aye: Adams, Hincks, Lemmond, Matthews, Paschal, and Sallls <br />Nay: None <br />Absent: Reives <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Commissioner Lemmond voted for Warren Lee and Commissioners Adams, Hincks, <br />Matthews, Paschal, and Sauls voted for Bobby Powell. Chairman Hincks stated that <br />Mr. Powell had been appointed to the Sanford-Lee Airport Authority by a five to one <br />vote. Commissioner Matthews stated that she felt Mr. Lee should serve as an ex-officio <br />member of the Airport Authority and that the Board should decide if a Commissioner <br />would also like to serve on this Board. <br />Commissioner Lemmond moved to go into closed session to instruct the County <br />Manager and staff concerning the acquisition of real property owned by First Citizens <br />Bank & Trust Company located at the corner of Steele and Wicker Streets. Upon a <br />vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Adams, Hincks, Lemmond, Matthews, Paschal, and Sauls <br />Nay: None <br />Absent: Reives <br />The Chainman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Commissioner Reives joined the meeting during the closed session. <br />3 <br />
