Upon a vote, <br />the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Adams, Hincks, Lemmond, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, and Sauls <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered a Lease Agreement between the County of Lee and the <br />Lee County Arts and Community Center, Inc. for the property located between Horner <br />Blvd. and the Arts Center. County Attorney K. R. Hoyle told the Board that the <br />proposed lease runs for fifty (50) years, beginning July 1, 2001. He stated that both <br />pieces of property have now been rezoned to Office and Institutional Use. He further <br />stated that the property must be operated as the school site that was previously conveyed <br />to them and does not allow for commercial or manufacturing activities to be carried on <br />at the facility. The agreement also retains the right for the county to have access to the <br />basketball court located on the property. After some discussion, Commissioner <br />Lemmond moved to approve the proposed Lease Agreement between the County of Lee <br />and the Lee County Arts and Community Center, Inc., a copy of which is attached to <br />these minutes and by this reference made a part hereof. Upon a vote, the results were as <br />follows: <br />Aye: Adams, Hincks, Lemmond, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, and Sauls <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Mr. Hoyle told the Board that the above agreement included requirements for <br />liability insurance. He told the Board that it required at least one million dollars of <br />liability coverage and one hundred thousand dollars of property damage insurance. He <br />requested that the Board recommend that the Arts Council have the above liability <br />insurance coverage for the Lee County Arts and Community Center, Inc. Chairman <br />Hincks moved to notify the Lee County Arts and Community Center, Inc. that Lee <br />County requires public liability insurance in the above amounts. Upon a vote, the results <br />were as follows: <br />Aye: Adams, Hincks, Lemmond, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, and Sauls <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Commissioner Lemmond asked for an update concerning the placement of an <br />ATM machine at the courthouse. Finance Director Lisa Minter told the Board that <br />several banks had been contacted concerning this matter and the State Employees Credit <br />Union had agreed to place a machine on site with no charges.
