C.O'7 <br />80OX 18 Pd6F 4&-, <br />area on Willet Road was zoned Residential Restricted. At that time, most of the homes <br />were single, site built homes, and restricted zoning was placed in the area to conform <br />with the uses at that time. The manufactured home at that time became a non- <br />conforming structure. The zoning ordinance does allow non-conforming structures to <br />remain on site or be replaced. She told the board that if a mobile home is removed for <br />more than 180 days, or 6 months, it can't be replaced. Ms. Simpson removed the mobile <br />home more than two years ago and therefore cannot place another home on the site. She <br />further told the Board that she had contacted the Institute of Government for a <br />recommendation and was told that nothing could be done in this case. No action was <br />taken on the matter. <br />The Board considered a voting delegate for the Association's Annual <br />Conference that will be held in Cumberland County on August 9-12, 2001. <br />Commissioner Matthews moved that Commissioner Lemmond be the designated voting <br />delegate for Lee County. Upon a vole, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Adams, Hincks, Lemmond, Matthews, Paschal, and Reives <br />Nay: None <br />Absent: Sauls <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered meeting dates for August 2001. After some discussion, <br />Commissioner Adams moved to only hold one meeting on August 20, 2001 at 3:00 p.m. <br />with public hearings at 7:00 p.m. Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Adams, Hincks, Lemmond, Matthews, Paschal, and Reives <br />Nay: None <br />Absent: Sauls <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Commissioner Reives moved that the Lee County Board of Education, pursuant <br />to North Carolina General Statures 115C-429 and 115C-43(b), provide the Lee County <br />Board of Commissioners with a document showing budget appropriations and actual <br />expenditures of such appropriations for fiscal years 1999/2000 and 2000/2001. He also <br />moved that the Board of Education Finance Officer provide a document showing the <br />breakdown of the 2001/2002 budget request by mandatory and discretionary items, as <br />defined by North Carolina General Statutes 115C-38, 115C-42, 115C-277, 115C-447, <br />115C-521, 115C-522, and 115C-534. Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Adams, Hincks, Lemmond, Matthews, Paschal, and Reives <br />Nay: None <br />Absent: Sauls <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />6 <br />
