G 0 7 <br />esOX M F!CE 507 <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Chairman Hincks moved to go into closed session to (1) instruct the County <br />Manager and staff concerning the position to be taken by or on behalf of the county in <br />negotiating for the acquisition of real property owned by First Citizens Bank & Trust <br />Company at the corner of Steele and Wicker Street, and (2) to instruct county staff and <br />negotiating agents the position to be taken by the Board of Commissioners in negotiating <br />with the Lee County Board of Education over budgetary matters. Upon a vote, the results <br />were as follows: <br />Aye: Adams, Hincks, Lemmond, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, and Sauls <br />Nay: None <br />The Chainnan ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Upon completing business in closed session, Commissioner Adams moved to go <br />out of closed session. Upon it vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Adams, Hincks, Lemmond, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, and Sauls <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Chairman Hincks opened the joint public hearings that had been advertised for <br />this date and time with the Lee County Planning Board. All Commissioners were <br />present. <br />Planner Althea Thompson outlined the first petition by Phillip Dale McKinney to <br />rezone .92 acres of land at 2848 Jefferson Davis Highway from Residential Agricultural <br />District to Highway Commercial District. <br />Gwen Bowers of 7305 Villanow Drive spoke in favor of the petition. <br />No one spoke in opposition to the request. <br />Mrs. Thompson outlined the second and final petition by Larry Roberts to rezone <br />8.09 acres of land at 6659 and 6679 Highway 87 South from Residential Restricted <br />District to Highway Commercial District. <br />Larry Roberts of 1 196 Big Branch Road spoke in favor of the petition. <br />No one spoke in opposition to the request. <br />Chairman Hincks closed the public hearings. <br />7 <br />
