I 002 BGon 18 mE 51l • Approval to utilize houses located within the city limits of Sanford in order to complete Lee County's rehabilitation programs • Approval for Land Records Specialist William Carmady to sign off on plats and surveys in the absence of Land Records Manager Jon Moore • Approval of purchase requisition in the amount of $35,275.00 for Phase I of the orthophoto's project for the Land Records Department (copy attached) • Capital Project Budget Ordinance for the Telecommunications Facility Project with Central Carolina Community College (copy attached) • Agreement between the County of Lee and Ferris, Baker Watts, Inc. to act as financial advisor for the refunding of bonds (copy attached) • Approval letter for Ferris, Baker Watts, Inc. to compete in the bid process when bonds are sold • Budget Amendment # 08/20/01/#01 (copy attached) • Revised fee schedule for the Lee County Health Department Upon a vote, the results were as follows: Aye: Adams, Hincks, Lemmond, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, and Sauls Nay: None The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. Commissioner Lemmond read a resolution of appreciation for Peggy Wilson, who recently retired from Johnston-Lee-Harnett Community Action. Former Commissioner Hubert Garner presented the resolution to Mrs. Wilson. The board heard a report from Parks and Recreation Director John Payne concerning the tennis courts at Dalrymple Park. Mr. Payne told the board that the facilities committee of the Lee County Parks and Recreation Commission had met and discussed the status and possible options for the tennis courts. The next regular meeting of the full Parks and Recreation Commission will be held on August 27, 2001, at which time this matter will be discussed. After some discussion, the board agreed to defer consideration on this matter until the next meeting on September 4, 2001, which will give the Parks and Recreation Commission time to make a recommendation to the Board of Commissioners. The board considered matters relating to the Planning Department. Community Development Director Ron Satterfield asked that the board schedule a public hearing for September 17, 2001, at 7:00 p.m. to consider an amendment to the Lee County Zoning Ordinance as it relates to rezoning requests for special uses and variances. Chairman Hincks moved that a public hearing be scheduled for September 17, 2001 for the above purpose.
