She told the board that the intent of this section was to require buffer and <br />screening standards that will protect the health, safety, and general welfare of the public, <br />and maintain and enhance the appearance of the community. The regulations are needed <br />to minimize potential nuisances such as the transmission of noise, dust, odor, litter, and <br />glare of lights; to reduce the visual impact of the unsightly aspects of adjacent <br />development; to provide for the separation of spaces and to establish a sense of privacy. <br />No one spoke in favor of the proposed amended ordinance. <br />No one spoke in opposition to the proposed amended ordinance. <br />Chairman Hincks closed the public hearings. <br />There being no further business to come before the board, Commissioner <br />Lemmond moved to adjourn the meeting.
