Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Adams, Hincks, Lemmond, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, and Sauls <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously and the board was <br />in closed session. Upon completing business in closed session, Chairman Hincks moved <br />to go out of the closed session. Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Adams, Hincks, Lemmond, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, and Sauls <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Commissioner Adams moved to approve the mediated settlement agreement <br />between the Lee County Board of Education and the Lee County Board of <br />Commissioners with respect to the current expense appropriation in the budget for fiscal <br />year ending June 30, 2002, a copy of which is attached to these minutes and by this <br />reference made a part hereof. Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Adams, Hincks, Lemmond, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, and Sauls <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Chairman Hincks opened the joint public hearings with the Lee County Planning <br />Board that had been advertised for this date and time. All Commissioners were present. <br />Planner Althea Thompson outlined the first hearing concerning an amendment to <br />the Lee County Zoning and Subdivision Ordinance to delete the definition of <br />"Subdivision. Minor and Subdivision Minor-Large Lot" in its entirety and add a new <br />definition of "Subdivision. Minor." Mrs. Thompson explained to the board that a Minor <br />Subdivision would include any subdivision which contains not more than six (6) lots with <br />frontage on an existing, publicly-maintained street, and does not involve the extension of <br />any public or private street for access to interior property; does not involve the extension <br />of public water, sewer, or other public improvements; does not adversely affect the <br />remainder of the parcel or adjoining property; or require a variance from any requirement <br />of this ordinance. It may also cover any subdivision which contains not more than three <br />(3) lots, and does not involve the extension of any public or private street for access to <br />interior property; does not involve the extension of public water, sewer, or other public <br />improvements; or require a variance from any requirement of this ordinance, provided <br />that: <br />a) No lot is less than the required minimum lot size of the respective zoning <br />district. <br />12 <br />
