E <br />DGOX 18 FACE 52. 0 010 <br />BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners of the County of Lee, as <br />follows: <br />The public hearing upon each bond order shall be held on the 4"' day <br />of September 2001, at 9:00 a.m., in the Commissioners' Room at the <br />Lee County Government Center, 106 Hillcrest Drive, in Sanford, <br />North Carolina. <br />2. The Clerk of the Board of Commissioners is hereby directed to cause <br />a copy of each bond order to be published with a notice of such <br />hearing in the form prescribed by law in a qualified newspaper not <br />fewer than six days prior to such public hearing. <br />3. The County's Finance Officer is hereby directed to file with the Clerk <br />of the Board of Commissioners prior to publication of each bond <br />order with the notice of such public hearing, a statement setting forth <br />the debt incurred or to be incurred, the assessed value of property <br />subject to taxation by the County and the net debt of the County. <br />Commissioner Reives seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Adams, Hincks, Lemmond, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, and Sauls <br />Nay: None <br />The Chainnan ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />County Attorney K. R. Hoyle discussed with the board a resolution to ratify <br />previous action taken on a road project at the new proposed industrial park. <br />Commissioner Reives moved the adoption of the following resolution: <br />RESOLUTION RATIFYING THE ACTION OF THE COUNTY MANAGER <br />IN FILING AN APPLICATION FOR APPROVAL OF SANITARY SEWER <br />BONDS IN THE AMOUNT OF $1,435,000 AND VOTING MACHINE BONDS <br />IN THE AMOUNT OF $450,000 <br />WHEREAS, the Board, at its regular meeting on July 9, 2001, authorized the <br />initiation of procedures to issue general obligation bonds in the amount of $1,886,000 for <br />sanitary sewer improvements to serve a 2.200 acre basin in the County including the <br />construction of an out fall line, a force main and a lift station, and for the construction of <br />a roadway at the proposed addition to the Lee County Industrial Park; and <br />WHEREAS, bond counsel advised the County Manager that the proposed road <br />development would not be a tax exempt issue of bonds and recommended against <br />proceeding for that purpose; and <br />10 <br />
