Buun i8 PAGE 550 <br />• Lease agreement for an automated teller machine that will be located at the <br />courthouse (copy attached) <br />• Resolution for "Lee County Big Sweep Day" (copy attached) <br />Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Adams, Hincks, Lemmond, Paschal, and Sauls <br />Nay: None <br />Absent: Matthews and Reives <br />Commissioner's Matthews and Reives joined the meeting at this time. <br />The board discussed the tennis courts at Dalrymple Park. Recreation Director <br />John Payne told the board that the Parks and Recreation Commission recorn in elided <br />converting the tennis courts into basketball courts. He told the board that he had received <br />two estimates between $40,000-$48,000 and that the Public Works Department would do <br />all demolition work that would involve removing the fencing and posts. He stated that <br />this would reduce the cost by approximately $6,000. He told the board that he is <br />currently working with Public Works Director Kenny Cole on bid specifications and <br />hopes to have the bids ready for approval by the first meeting in October. No action was <br />taken on the matter. <br />The board considered recommendations from the Planning Board. Planner Althea <br />Thompson told the board that the Planning Board recommended approval of a text <br />amendment to the Lee County Zoning Ordinance by deleting the definition of <br />"Subdivision, Minor" and "Subdivision, Minor-Large Lot" in its entirety and adding a <br />new definition of "Subdivision Minor". After some discussion, Commissioner Adams <br />moved to approve the recommendation of the Planning Board to change the definition <br />and interpretation of the above Ordinance, a copy of which is attached to these minutes <br />and by this reference made a part hereof. Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Adams, Hincks, Lemmond, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, and Sauls <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Mrs. Thompson told the board that the Planning Board recommended approval of <br />an amendment to "Article XIV. Buffering and Screening" in the Lee County Zoning <br />Ordinance by repealing it in it's entirety and replacing it with a revised "Buffering and <br />Screening" requirements. After some discussion, Commissioner Lenunond moved to <br />approve the recommendation of the Planning Board, a copy of which is attached to these <br />minutes and by this reference made a part hereof.
