0 ~c,3,K -i$ mE 646 <br />Commissioner Paschal moved to approve the consent agenda, which consisted <br />of the following items: <br />• Minutes of the October 1, 2001 regular meeting <br />• Minutes of the October 1, 2001 closed session meeting <br />• Proclamation for Senior Vaccination Season (copy attached) <br />• Tax Releases and Refunds for September 2001 (copy attached) <br />• Proclamation for "Weatherization Day" in Lee County (copy <br />attached) <br />• Authorization to surplus and dispose of four vans at Senior Services <br />• Budget Amendment #10/22/01/#05 (copy attached) <br />Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Adams, I-Imcks, Lemmond, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, and Sauls <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The board heard a report from Recreation Director John Payne concerning a <br />handicap ramp at San Lee Park. Mr. Payne told the board that he had met with a <br />representative from the North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission and was told <br />that they would provide 75% in-kind match for costs of the project. He told the board <br />that the project would create one parking pad and trail to the existing handicap fishing <br />pier on the lower lake. He reported to the board the following cost estimate for the <br />project: <br />Engineering & layout <br />Tree removal <br />Stump removal <br />Grading <br />Materials <br />Fill clay (6-8 loads @ $100) <br />Stone (4-5 loads @ 5200) <br />Paving (lump sum) <br />Total <br />Lee County Public Works Department <br />Donated <br />Lee County Public Works Department <br />NC Wildlife Resource Commission <br />$ 600 $ 800 <br />S 800 51,000 <br />$1,000 51,000 <br />$2,400 52,800 <br />Mr. Payne told the board that he currently has funds in his budget to handle this <br />project. No action was taken on the matter. <br />The board considered revised planning fees for the Planning Department. <br />Community Development Director Ron Satterfield told the board that since July there <br />has been discussion about changing planning fees associated with rezoning requests, <br />conditional use rezoning requests, special use requests, variance requests, and appeals <br />from the zoning enforcement officer.
