iCu'( g P„GE G45 0 01 <br />MINUTES FROM THE REGULAR MEETING <br />OF THE <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />FOR THE <br />COUNTY OF LEE, STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA <br />OCTOBER 22, 2001 <br />The regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners for the County of Lee, <br />State of North Carolina, convened at 3:00 p.m. in the Commissioners' Room, Lee <br />County Government Center, 106 Hillcrest Drive, Sanford, North Carolina. <br />Commissioners present were W. Chad Adams, Herbert A. Hincks, Jerry M. <br />Lemmond, Bertha L. Matthews, Nathan E. Paschal, and John 1. Sauls. Commissioner <br />Robert T. Reives was absent. <br />Chairman Hincks presided and the following business was transacted. <br />County Attorney K. R. Hoyle delivered the invocation. <br />Rev. James Estes led the pledge of allegiance. <br />Commissioner Reives joined the meeting at this time. <br />The board considered additional agenda items. Commissioner Lemmond <br />moved to approve the agenda as printed. Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Adams, Hincks, Lemmond, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, and SaUIS <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Commissioner Lennnond asked that the item pertaining to the purchase of a <br />new disaster supply trailer for the Emergency Management department be pulled <br />from the consent agenda for further discussion. After discussing the matter further <br />with Emergency Management Director Warren Lee, Commissioner Adams moved to <br />approve the purchase as presented. Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Adams, Hincks, Lemmond, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, and Sauls <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />
