The board heard a presentation from Triangle J Council of Government representative Judy Kincaid concerning the new High Performance Guidelines: Triangle Region Public Facilities manual for local governments and school systems. Ms. Kincaid told the board that the manual was produced by Triangle J in February 2001, and provides guidelines, and a set of resources to assist in making public buildings more cost effective, resource efficient, and healthy for occupants. No action was taken on the matter. Chairman Hincks moved to approve a resolution releasing Lee County's share of economic development funds to Triangle J in the amount of $55,000. The money will be used to carry out the economic development plan approved by the Triangle J Board of Delegates, a copy of which is attached to these minutes and by this reference made a part hereof. The board heard reports from Central Carolina Community College President Dr. Marvin Joyner and Lee County Schools Superintendent Robert Logan concerning their boards' opposition of the use of the community college facilities for a public high school. No action was taken on the matter. The board considered a revised agreement for the use of state bond money for public schools. At the last meeting the board approved an agreement concerning the 2
