C' 1 0 <br />6 0'C i8 PAGE 67i <br />• Proclamation to declare November 15-22, 2001 as Farni-City Week (copy <br />attached) <br />• Budget amendment for additional grant fiords for the Enrichment Center of <br />Lee County <br />• Budget amendment # 11/13/01/#7 (copy attached) <br />• Resolution to establish a Capital Reserve Fund for the remaining allocation <br />from the Public School Building Bond Act of 1996 (copy attached) <br />• Capital Project Budget Ordinance for the expansion of the new Lee County <br />Industrial Park (copy attached) <br />• Capital Project Budget Ordinance for the acquisition of new voting machines <br />(copy attached) <br />• Tax Releases and Refunds for October 2001 (copy attached) <br />Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Adams, Hincks, Lemmond, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, and Sauls <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The board heard a presentation from Triangle J Council of Government <br />representative Judy Kincaid concerning the new High Performance Guidelines: Triangle <br />Region Public Facilities manual for local governments and school systems. Ms. Kincaid <br />told the board that the manual was produced by Triangle J in February 2001, and <br />provides guidelines, and a set of resources to assist in making public buildings more cost <br />effective, resource efficient, and healthy for occupants. No action was taken on the <br />matter. <br />Chairman Hincks moved to approve a resolution releasing Lee County's share of <br />economic development funds to Triangle J in the amount of $55,000. The money will be <br />used to carry out the economic development plan approved by the Triangle J Board of <br />Delegates, a copy of which is attached to these minutes and by this reference made a part <br />hereof. Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Adams, Hincks, Lemmond, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, and Sauls <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The board heard reports from Central Carolina Community College President Dr. <br />Marvin Joyner and Lee County Schools Superintendent Robert Logan concerning their <br />boards' opposition of the use of the community college facilities for a public high school. <br />No action was taken on the matter. <br />The board considered a revised agreement for the use of state bond money for <br />public schools.
