Commissioner Lemmond moved to approve the following resolution: <br />13E IT RESOLVED the Board of Commissioners for the County of Lee as <br />follows: <br />SECTION 1: The Board of Commissioners shall hold a regular meeting on the <br />first and third Monday of each month. If the regular meeting day is a holiday on which <br />County offices are closed, the meeting shall be held on the next business day or such <br />succeeding day as may be specified in the motion adjourning the immediate preceding <br />regular meeting. <br />SECTION 2: Regular meetings shall be held in the Commissioners' Room, First <br />Floor, Lee County Government Center, 106 Hillcrest Drive, Sanford, North Carolina. <br />SECTION 3: The regular meeting on the first Monday of each month will begin <br />at 8:00 a.m. The regular meeting on the third Monday of each month will begin at 3:00 <br />p.m. <br />SECTION 4: The County Manager is directed to cause a copy of this resolution <br />to be posted on the courthouse bulletin board and a summary of it to be published at least <br />ten (10) days before the first meeting to which the resolution is to apply. <br />Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Adams, Hincks, Lemmond, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, and Sauls <br />Nay: None <br />County Attorney Hoyle ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The board considered amoral examination of official bonds. County Attorney K. <br />R. Hoyle told the board that N.C. General Statute 58-72.20 requires that the Board of <br />Commissioners examine bonds for the Sheriff, Register of Deeds, and every other officer <br />of the county who is required by law to give a bond for the faithful performance of the <br />duties of his or her office.
