Oil. <br />BON 8 r.cF 7~:' <br />It is understood and agreed that Board, after using property of facilities owned by the <br />County on each occasion of such use will, after the termination of a day's use or a lesser <br />period of time of use, return and deliver to County said property so used in as good a <br />condition as said property was in before the day's activities or use by Board commenced, <br />general wear and tear and damage by fire and other casualty accepted. <br />It is understood and agreed that County, after using property of facilities owned by the <br />Board on each occasion of such use will, after the termination of a day's use or a lesser <br />period of time of use, return and deliver to Board said property so used in as good a <br />condition as said property was in before the day's activities or use by County <br />commenced, general wear and tear and damage by fire and other casualty accepted. <br />It is understood that by request of school principals, the County will serve as a liaison <br />between the community and Board and schedule any non-Board/County use of Board <br />athletic and recreation facilities limited to the practice fields, playing fields, and <br />gymnasiums. The County Parks and Recreation Director may schedule these facilities at <br />his/her discretion, without prior approval of school personnel, in strict accordance with <br />Board policy 5030, "Community Use of School Facilities" and in strict accordance with <br />Administrative Regulation 5030-R, as set by the Board. It is further understood that any <br />use of County or Board facilities will comply with all County policy, administrative <br />regulations and City, State and Federal laws. <br />In the event of any dispute or difference arising as a result of the recreation program <br />being conducted on Board facilities, or school programs being conducted on County <br />facilities, then, in that event, said dispute or difference shall be arbitrated and settled by <br />appealing to the Superintendent and the County Manager respectively, and then to Board <br />and County, if needed. <br />It is further agreed that County and Board shall furnish and supply all expendable <br />materials necessary for carrying out their respective programs in or on facilities under <br />their supervision at the time of the program. <br />It is further agreed that County may install lighting, play equipment, fencing and <br />additional equipment for recreation purposes, not in conflict with school use, on areas <br />selected by the Director of Parks and Recreation, subject to the written approval of Board <br />and County. Any installation of equipment or construction on Board property for <br />community recreation purposes shall be at the expense of the County. <br />It is further agreed that Board may install any athletic or physical education equipment, <br />or additional equipment, not in conflict with County recreation use, on areas selected by <br />the Board, subject to the written approval of County and Board. Any installation of <br />equipment or construction on County property for school athletics or physical eduation <br />purposes shall be at the expense of the Board. <br />It is further agreed that all plans and specifications for the placement of all equipment, <br />facilities and permanent improvements upon either County or Board property and the <br />Page 3 of 5 <br />
