bpOK 18 PAGE 69 0 01 <br />MINUTES FROM THE REGULAR MEETING <br />OF THE <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />FOR THE <br />COUNTY OF LEE, STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA <br />DECEMBER 3, 2001 <br />The regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners for the County of Lee, State <br />J of North Carolina, convened at 8:00 a.m. in the Commissioners' Room, Lee County <br />Government Center, 106 Hillcrest Drive, Sanford, North Carolina. Commissioners <br />present were W. Chad Adams, Herbert A. Hincks, Jerry M. Lemmond, Bertha L. <br />Matthews, Nathan E. Paschal, Robert T. Reives, and John I. Sauls. <br />Chairman Hincks presided and the following business was transacted. <br />Rev. Charles Huggins delivered the invocation and let the pledge of allegiance. <br />Chairman Hincks recognized County Attorney K. R. Hoyle, who conducted the <br />election of a chairman for a one-year term. Ballots were passed out and tabulated with <br />the following votes recorded: <br />COMMISSIONER VOTED FOR <br />Adams <br />Hincks <br />Hincks <br />Hincks <br />Lemmond <br />Matthews <br />Matthews <br />Matthews <br />Paschal <br />Hincks <br />Reives <br />Matthews <br />Sauk <br />Hincks <br />Attorney Hoyle announced that Commissioner Herb Hincks had received four votes and <br />Commissioner Bert Matthews had received three votes, therefore Commissioner Herbert <br />A. Hincks had been elected Chairman for the coming year. <br />County Attorney K. R. Hoyle called for the election of a Vice-Chairman for a <br />one-year term. Ballots were passed out and tabulated with the following votes recorded: <br />COMMISSIONER VOTED FOR <br />Adams Sauls <br />
