e G .9 ME f 3 <br />Aye: Adams, Hincks, Lemmond, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, and Stevens <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The board conducted a joint public hearing with members of the Lee County <br />Planning Board concerning a petition by Laverne Thornton to rezone from Residential <br />Restrict District to Highway Commercial District, approximately 3.26 acres of land located <br />at 104, 108, 112 and 116 Brady Road. <br />Chairman Hincks opened the advertised joint public hearing. <br />Laverne Thornton of 209 Olde Town Drive, Sanford, spoke in favor of the petition. <br />No one spoke in opposition to the request. <br />Chairman Hincks closed the public hearing. <br />Human Resource Director Patsy Rogers and Library Director Mike Matochik gave <br />reports concerning their departments. <br />County Manager William Cowan asked that the board allow him to waive land field <br />tipping fees from the recent ice storm if the federal government (FEMA) agrees to <br />reimburse the county. After some discussion, Commissioner Reives moved to allow the <br />County Manager to waive tipping fees if FEMA agrees to reimburse counties. Upon a <br />vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Adams, Flineks, Lemmond, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, and Stevens <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />There being no further business to come before the board, Commissioner Adams <br />moved to adjourn the meeting. Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Adams, Hincks, Lemmond, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, and Stevens <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously and the meeting <br />adjourned:in keeping with the motion. <br />A TEST: ° <br />Herbert A.
