The board considered an amendment to the Lee County Zoning Ordinance to add Section 6 - Court Ordered Divisions. Planner Althea Thompson outlined for the board the proposed new section and answered questions. After much discussion, Commissioner Matthews moved to approve the recommendation of the Planning Board to add Section 6 to the Lee County Zoning Ordinance, a copy of which is attached to these minutes and by this reference made a part hereof. Upon a vote, the results were as follows: Aye: Adams, Lemmond, Matthews, Paschal, and Reives Nay: Hincks and Stevens The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted by a five to two vote. The board considered an amendment to the Lee County Subdivision Ordinance to amend Section 1. Article !I! General Provisions. Planner Althea Thompson discussed with the board this amendment and answered questions. After much discussion, Commissioner Reives moved to approve the recommendation of the Planning Board to approve the amendment of Section 1. Article IV to the Lee County Subdivision Ordinance, a copy of which is attached to these minutes and by this reference made a part hereof. Upon a vote, the results were as follows: Aye: Adams, Lemmond, Matthews, Paschal, and Reives Nay: Hincks and Stevens The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted by a five to two vote. The board considered a request from the Sheriffs Department to fill a vacancy in the Investigative Division. Sheriff Billy Bryant asked that the board allow him to promote Sgt. Kevin Bryant who has been with the department for approximately eighteen years. Sheriff Bryant stated that he would like to begin this employee at Grade 67 Step 5. After some discussion, Commissioner Reives moved to approve Sheriff Bryant's request as stated above. Upon a vote, the results were as follows: 2
