C <br />.f <br />C ~e kre Taunf-q Oaarb of Tnmmtsstnners <br />JR >;>-4 LiIUfi011 <br />WHEREAS, Elaine Adams is a Sanford native and a 1975 graduate of Sanford Central <br />High School; and, <br />WIIFREAS, Elaine Adams graduated from Methodist College in Fayetteville, North <br />Carolina in 1950 where she led the basketball and volleyball teams to NCAIAW State <br />Championships and was twice named Volleyball MVP; and, <br />WHEREAS, Elaine Adams was recently inducted into the Methodist College Sports Ball <br />of Fame; and, <br />WHEREAS, Elaine Adams has served two terms on the Lcc County Parks and <br />P~ creatWit Commission. <br />NOW THEREFORE, n IT RESOLVED by the I_cc County Board of Commissioners <br />for the County of Lee as follows: <br />Section 1. That it congratulates Elaine Adams for her service to the Lee County <br />Parks and Recreation Commission. <br />Section 2. That it congratulates Elaine Adams for being inducted into the Methodist <br />College Sports Hall of Fame. <br />Section 3:' That this resolution be included in the minutes of this meeting and a duly <br />authorized copy be presented to Elaine Adams With suitable ceremony. <br />Adopted this the 4"' day of November 2002.~%_ <br />HerbertA.
