Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Adams, Hincks, Lemmond, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, and Sauls <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. He further stated <br />that he hoped to have an answer to the problem within a month. <br />Commissioner Paschal moved that the board send a letter to the Department of <br />Transportation asking them to conduct a traffic study for a 45 miles per hour speed limit at <br />the intersection of Lee Avenue Extension and St. Andrews Church Road to Fred Stone <br />Road. Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Adams, Hincks, Lemmond, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, and Sauls <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Commissioner Matthews discussed with the board a zoning matter pertaining to a <br />vacant lot owned by Mrs. Jerelene Bunnell at 3152 Minter School Road. After some <br />discussion, it was decided that Mrs. Bunnell would need to go through the normal rezoning <br />procedures with the Planning Board. No action was taken on the matter. <br />Commissioner Matthews discussed with the board a matter pertaining to new <br />printers for the voting machines. She told the board that Board of Elections staff is not <br />satisfied with the current printers and would like them upgraded. The nineteen (19) <br />printers can be traded-in for an upgrade of $4,750.00. After some discussion, the board <br />asked Board of Elections Director Kim Butts to get the vendor to substitute faster printers <br />for the November election and if the Board of Elections staff is satisfied with them the <br />county will consider purchasing. <br />Commissioner Sauls left the meeting at this time. <br />Commissioner Reives discussed setback regulations for a mobile home owned by <br />Mrs. Iretha Bolton on Eakes Road. After some discussion, Commissioner Reives asked <br />that the Planning Board discuss this matter and report back to the full board. No action was <br />taken on the matter. <br />Commissioner Reives discussed with the board and Planning staff a handicapped <br />residential care facility proposed by Ms. Pamela Hooker in the Broadway community. He <br />told the board that Ms. Hooker has been trying to get the necessary permits but has not <br />been successful. Trevis Averett from the Planning Department told the board that <br />Planning staff is currently working on this matter. No action was taken on the matter. <br />4 <br />
