Aye: Adams, Hincks, Lemmond, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, and Sauls <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />After completing business in the Lee County Water & Sewer District No. 1 <br />meeting, Commissioner Adams moved to go out of the Lee County Water & Sewer District <br />No. 1 meeting. Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Adams, Hincks, Lemmond, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, and Sauls <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Commissioner Adams moved to go into closed session to instruct the County <br />Manger and staff concerning the position to be taken by or on behalf of the county in <br />negotiating for the acquisition of real property on Tramway Road for a new school site. <br />Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Adams, Hincks, Lemmond, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, and Sauls <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously and the board was <br />in closed session. Upon completing business in closed session, Commissioner Matthews <br />moved to go out of closed session. Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Adams, Hincks, Lemmond, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, and Sauls <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Commissioner Reives moved to approve the following resolution: <br />WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners and the Board of Education drew <br />down 53,000,000 in State bond funds and established a Capital Reserve Fund; and <br />WHEREAS, one of the permitted uses of the funds in the Capital Reserve <br />Fund was to purchase land for school sites; and <br />WHEREAS, the boards have created a Joint Site Selection Committee <br />which is negotiating to acquire options on two parcels of land; and <br />WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners is agreeable that the option <br />money, surveying expenses, environmental tests, purchase price, and other expenses <br />committed with the purchase and acquisition of the land be paid for out of this Capital <br />Reserve Fund. <br />7 <br />
