Commissioner Adams moved to approve the resolution, a copy of which is <br />attached to these minutes and by this reference made a part hereof. Upon a vote, the results <br />were as follows: <br />Aye: Adams, Hincks, Lemmond, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, and Sauls <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The board considered a capital project budget ordinance for renovations to the <br />Government Center due to the June 12, 2002 fire. County Manager William Cowan told <br />the board that the budget ordinance for $50,000 would cover renovations to the Lee County <br />Government Center for the period June 12, 2002 to June 12, 2003. After some discussion, <br />Commissioner Lemmond moved to approve a Capital Project Budget Ordinance in the <br />amount of $50,000 for renovations to the Goverment Center, and authorization for the <br />County Manager to approve change orders in an amount up to $5,000, a copy of which is <br />attached to these minutes and by this reference made a part hereof. Upon a vote, the results <br />were as follows: <br />Aye: Adams, Hincks, Lemmond, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, and Sauls <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />County Manager William Cowan gave the board an update on the recent fire and <br />thanked all city and county fireman, and all county employees for their participation and <br />cooperation during and after the incident. <br />Chairman Hincks discussed with the board a meeting he attended with <br />representatives from the City of Sanford concerning a proposed merger of the city and <br />county inspections departments. <br />The board considered appointments to various Boards and Commissions. The <br />following individuals were nominated by various Commissioners and approved to serve on <br />the following Boards/Commissions for the terms shown: <br />5 <br />
