Planner Althea <br />Thompson told the board that the Planning Board recommended approval of the petition by <br />David H. Simpson Construction Co., Inc. to rezone from Residential Agricultural District <br />to Highway Commercial Conditional Use District, approximately 1.53 acres of land located <br />at 3007 Beechtree Drive. Commissioner Sau15 moved to approve the recommendation of <br />the Planning Board and an Order showing that the four (4) findings of fact had been <br />approved, a copy of which is attached and by this reference made a part hereof. Upon a <br />vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Adams, Hincks, Lenunond, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, and Sauls <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The board considered a resolution concerning the Annual Secondary Road <br />Construction Program for the Department of Transportation. Department of Transportation <br />District Engineer Joe Clendenin discussed the project for the upcoming year and answered <br />questions from board members. <br />Chairman Hincks opened the public hearing that had been advertised for this date <br />and time. <br />David Tarpey of 159 Memory Lane was the only individual to speak during the <br />public hearing. <br />
