The board considered recommendations from the Planning Board. Planner Althea Thompson told the board that the Planning Board recommended approval of the petition by David H. Simpson Construction Co., Inc. to rezone from Residential Agricultural District to Highway Commercial Conditional Use District, approximately 1.53 acres of land located at 3007 Beechtree Drive. Commissioner Sau15 moved to approve the recommendation of the Planning Board and an Order showing that the four (4) findings of fact had been approved, a copy of which is attached and by this reference made a part hereof. Upon a vote, the results were as follows: Aye: Adams, Hincks, Lenunond, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, and Sauls Nay: None The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. The board considered a resolution concerning the Annual Secondary Road Construction Program for the Department of Transportation. Department of Transportation District Engineer Joe Clendenin discussed the project for the upcoming year and answered questions from board members. Chairman Hincks opened the public hearing that had been advertised for this date and time. David Tarpey of 159 Memory Lane was the only individual to speak during the public hearing.
