t GCn a 'P4-E 893 <br />MINUTES FROM THE REGULAR MEETING <br />OF THE <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />FOR THE <br />COUNTY OF LEE, STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA <br />JUNE 17, 2002 <br />The regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners for the County of Lee, State of North <br />Carolina, convened AT 7:00 p.m. in Courtroom #4 at the Old Lee County Courthouse, 1400 S. <br />Homer Blvd., Sanford, North Carolina. Commissioners present were Herbert A. Hincks, Jerry M. <br />Lemmond, Bertha L. Matthews, Nathan E. Paschal, and John I. Sauls. Commissioners W. Chad <br />Adams and Robert T. Reives were absent. <br />Chairman 1-lincks presided and the following business was transacted. <br />Chairman Hincks opened the joint public hearing with the Lee County Planning Board that <br />had been advertised for this date and time. <br />The only item discussed was a petition by David Simpson Construction Co., Inc. to rezone <br />from Residential Agricultural District to Highway Commercial Conditional Use District, <br />approximately 1.53 acres of land located at 3007 Beechtrec Drive for placement of buildings and <br />related uses for a boat dealership. County Attorney K. R. Hoyle outlined the Conditional Use <br />procedure and Clerk to the Board Gaynell Lee administered the oath to property owner Tim Pilson. <br />Mr. Pilson of 7225 Chris Cole Road discussed the four findings of fact that the Board of <br />Commissioners must determine before approving the permit. <br />No one spoke in opposition to the petition but David Taylor of 130 Cotton Road had <br />concerns involving the septic system that would be used. <br />There being no further business to come before the board, Commissioner Sauls moved to <br />adjourn the meeting.
