0 sZ^ " ' ' PacF 88~ <br />The board considered a purchase and license agreement for the purchase of personal <br />computers and miscellaneous items for hardware and software for the Lee County Library. <br />Information Services Director Lesa Price answered questions from board members <br />pertaining to the matter. After some discussion, Commissioner Sauls moved to approve the <br />above mentioned hardware/software purchases and agreement for the Library. Upon a <br />vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Adams, Hincks, Lemmond, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, and Sauls <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The board considered meeting dates for the month of July 2002. After some <br />discussion, Chairman Hincks moved to hold only one meeting on Monday, July 15, 2002, <br />at 3:00 p.m. Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Adams, Hincks, Lemmond, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, and Sauls <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Commissioner Adams told the board that the San-Lee Humane Society is under <br />new leadership and has requested to meet with him and a representative from the Health <br />Department to discuss a possible leasing arrangement for their facility located off Deep <br />River Road. Mr. Adams stated that he would report back to the board after his meeting. <br />No action was taken on the matter. <br />The board considered the appointment of a Special County Attorney to handle <br />Social Service matters. Commissioner Matthews, who also serves on the Social Services <br />Board, made the following motion to be effective July 1, 2002: <br />(1) The Lee County Department of Social Services will not renew their <br />contract with the County Attorney's Office for child support services, <br />which ends on June 30, 2002, <br />(2) Change the configuration of how attorney services are provided to the <br />Department of Social Services, <br />(3) Ask that the Board of Commissioners appoint the position to be a part <br />of the Social Services staff, <br />(4) Offer the position to Ms. Raye Ward who is the existing Social <br />Services Attorney, <br />(5) Have the Social Services Attorney to report directly to the Social <br />Services Director, and <br />(6) Relocate the Social Services Attorney from the first floor to the fourth <br />floor <br />Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />4 <br />
