nGOR i$ PAGE $ <br />MINUTES FROM THE REGULAR MEETING <br />OF THE <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />FOR THE <br />COUNTY OF LEE, STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA <br />June 3, 2002 <br />The regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners for the County of Lee, State of <br />North Carolina, convened at 8:00 a.m. in the Commissioners' Room, Lee County <br />Government Center, 106 Hitlerest Drive, Sanford, North Carolina. Commissioners present <br />were W. Chad Adams, Herbert A. Hincks, Jerry M. Lemmond, Bertha L. Matthews, <br />J Nathan E Paschal, Robert T. Reives, and John 1. Sauls. <br />Chairman Hincks presided and the following business was transacted. <br />County Attorney K. R. Hoyle delivered the invocation. <br />Commissioner Robert Reives led the pledge of allegiance. <br />The board considered additional agenda items. Commissioner Adams asked that he <br />be allowed to give an update concerning the San-Lee Humane Society. Commissioner <br />Paschal moved to approve the agenda with the above addition. Upon a vote, the results <br />were as follows: <br />Aye: Adams, Hincks, Lemmond, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, and Sauls <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Commissioner Adams moved to approve the consent agenda, which consisted of the <br />following items: <br />• Minutes of the May 13, 2002 Special Meeting <br />• Minutes of the May 20, 2002 Special Meeting <br />• Minutes of the May 20, 2002 Regular Meeting <br />• Budget amendment # 06/03/02/#22 (copy attached) <br />• Declare items surplus for auction with the City of Sanford <br />• Contracts for the Department of Youth & Family Services <br />- Contract with the N.C. Department of Juvenile Justice & <br />Delinquency Prevention - Harnett County Office for Psychological <br />Services <br />
