r ayr" <br />G 0 8 <br />Pei <br />lji APP TountV ~oaarb of Tommcsstnners <br />~R k'.sntutia11 <br />WHEREAS, John Vann Ball, a citizen and resident of Lee County, was employed by Lee <br />County in February 1969 as the Livestock and 4-1-1 Extension Agent; and <br />WHEREAS, he was appointed the 10"' Lee County Extension Director in July 1979; and <br />WHEREAS, he has demonstrated a deep commitment to hisjob and Lee County residents; and <br />WHEREAS, his commitment to Cooperative Extension is exemplified by his outstanding <br />leadership in securing the McSwain Extension Education and Agriculture Center; and <br />WHEREAS, he will retire from North Carolina Cooperative Extension, Lee County Center, on <br />June 1, 2002, after 33 years of service; and <br />WHEREAS, the Lee County Board of Commissioners wishes to recognize and acknowledge the <br />dedication and loyal service John Vann Ball has given to the residents of Lee County. <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners for Lee County, <br />North Carolina, that it congratulates John Vann Hall for a career of public service that has been <br />characterized by a genuine interest in and concern for Lee County families and that it wishes for <br />Mr. Ball continued success in all of his future endeavors. <br />Adopted this the 20"' day of May 2002. 1 <br />Herbert A.
