Eca8 FacE 8; <br />MINUTES FROM THE SPECIAL MEETING <br />OF THE <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />FOR THE <br />COUNTY OF LEE, STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA <br />APRIL 22, 2002 <br />The special budget work session of the Board of Commissioners for the County of <br />Lee, State of North Carolina, convened at 5:00 a.m. in the Commissioners' Room, Lee <br />County Government Center, 106 Hillcrest Drive, Sanford, North Carolina. Commissioners <br />J present were W. Chad Adams, Herbert A. Hincks, Jerry M. Lemmond, Bertha L. Matthews, <br />Nathan E. Paschal, and Robert T. Reives. Commissioner John L Sails was absent. <br />Chairman Flincks called the meeting to order and the following business was <br />transacted. <br />The board met with the following department heads to discuss their impact statements <br />concerning a 5% reduction and how this would affect their departments: <br />Travis Phillips, Inspections <br />Warren Lee, Emergency Management <br />Bob Heuts, Economic Development <br />Patsy Rogers, Human Resources <br />John Hall, Cooperative Extension <br />Daryl Harrington, Soil & Water Conservation <br />Lesa Price, MIS <br />Debbie Davidson, Senior Services <br />Bob Bridwell, Planning <br />No action was taken. <br />Commissioner Sails joined the meeting during the Economic Development <br />Department discussion. <br />The board discussed all reserve funds that the County currently has which include the <br />following: <br />Insurance Funds <br />Capital Reserve <br />Room Occupancy Tax Fund <br />Emergency Telephone System Eund <br />Water and Sewer District 91 <br />Golden Poultry Water Fund <br />
