Commissioners present were W. Chad Adams, Herbert A. Hincks, Jerry M. Lemmond, Bertha L. Matthews, Nathan E. Paschal, Robert T. Reives, and John f. Sauls. Chairman Hineks called the meeting to order and the following business was transacted. The board met with the following department heads to discuss their impact statements concerning a 5% reduction and how this would affect their departments. Allen Johnson, Interim School Superintendent Dr. Marvin Joyner, Central Carolina Community College Sheriff Billy Bryant Nellie Thomas, Register of Deeds Brenda Potts, Social Services Mike Matochik, Library Claretta Johnson, Lee-Harnett Mental Health Mike Hanes, Health Department No action was taken. Chairman Hincks recessed the budget work session at 3:00 p.m. The regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners for the County of Lee, State of North Carolina, convened at 3:00 p.m. in the Commissioners' Room, Lee County Government Center, 106 Hillcrest Drive, Sanford, North Carolina. Commissioners present were W. Chad Adams, Herbert A. Hincks, Jerry M. Lemmond, Bertha L. Matthews, Nathan E. Paschal, Robert T. Reives, and John 1. SardS. Chairman Hincks presided and the following business was transacted. Commissioner Sauls delivered the invocation and led the pledge of allegiance.
